A lovely, genuine place with a traditional feel and clean, good rooms. Breakfast was a tasty buffet with plenty of local dishes, and the coffee was especially nice. It’s a peaceful escape right by the heart of Paraty. Highly recommend!

My room came with a nice balcony, and the dining area was pleasant. Breakfast was good, and staying here in May was very affordable, presumably because it’s the off-season. The bus station and historic center are both very close, but the street itself is quiet. Brazilian TV channels and programs are awful, by the way. LOL.

The service was good, and for the price it was a great value. The room wasn’t anything special and breakfast wasn’t great, but the stay was a positive experience. It’s only a couple of blocks from the old downtown, in a top-notch location, and it has the feel of a real Brazilian bed and breakfast.

We waited at the front desk for 12 minutes to check in, but there wasn’t a single person around to help. We had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. It seems like a lack of service is a trend in Paraty.

The breakfast is good and it’s a good place to stay, but expect to get up early.
