Pousada Pontal Gardens

We were there last week, and the place was unbelievably beautiful, homey, and very central. The staff were helpful and flexible with everything we needed, and the manager went out of her way to help with our requests. My fiancé and I would definitely return. I really recommend it.

Breakfast was generous and delicious, and we had fun at happy hour. The team was so kind and helped us choose activities and restaurants, plus arranged a half-day boat tour for me and my partner. Pontal Gardens is only a few minutes from the busy historic center and a block from the beach. Geko is nearby too, with live music in the evenings. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The hosts looked after us so well, and communication with them was great. We really enjoyed breakfast too. It's a lovely little boutique hotel in a quiet, central part of Paraty, with beautiful decor and a warm atmosphere.

The good parts were the friendly welcome after my late arrival and long drive, clear check-in instructions, and permission to park on the street. Breakfast was good, and Daniel’s complimentary cocktail was the best part of the stay. Thank you, Daniel! I was in a small room at the back of the garden beside the kitchen. It was acceptable for one night, but the external AC unit on the wall made a lot of noise whenever the neighboring room turned on its air conditioning. It was constant and kept me from sleeping well. I told Fernando, who seemed to be in charge, but he refused my refund request and said they had never had a complaint about the noise. Since I arrived late and had no other option, I had to stay. There are many places in Paraty with good breakfast and better comfort, so I’d suggest looking at other options.
