Pousada Recanto da Baronesa

The rooms were excellent, very clean, and well kept. I was glad they had mosquito repellent, since there are so many mosquitoes in the area. Cláudio França gave us excellent service, friendly and polite, a full 100%. I want to extend that praise to everyone who helped us. We’ll be back soon.

We stayed here over a holiday and had no complaints about the room, bed, or breakfast. I didn’t spend long enough at the inn to notice many details. I did spend a little time in the downstairs room for two, but it was too small and noisy, so I asked to move and paid the difference. I’d suggest choosing one of the triple rooms. The owner is very friendly too, and we had some great laughs over breakfast.

The facilities didn’t meet basic standards, and the service was the worst I’ve received. When settling up, the owner denied our agreement to pay the remaining 50% of the booking in installments. I told him he was losing a customer by not honoring it, and he replied, “That’s your problem.” Completely disrespectful. I can’t recommend this place. The area has plenty of inns, so look for one with better reviews.

The owner had agreed to a payment arrangement, then didn’t honor it. When I brought it up, he said disrespectfully that he didn’t care what had been agreed and that it was the customer’s problem, not his. The service was very disappointing and the whole experience was awful. I don’t recommend it.
