SÍtio Águas Lindas

The room had a huge gap in the roof tiles, and when it rained, water came into the room. Luckily, it didn’t land on anyone. Only one shower in the women’s room had hot water, and the bathrooms weren’t cleaned at all while we stayed over New Year’s. There’s no phone signal and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work. To get out, you have to pay for a transfer or walk through the mud to the highway. The facilities are awful. I don’t recommend it to anyone and would never come back.

It’s a pretty place, but it can’t handle that many guests. The shared room fits 26 people but has only two sinks and two toilets, and the bathrooms get dirty and smelly because they’re cleaned just once a day. The bus can’t make it down the road, so you have to walk, which is quite dangerous when it rains. Our group even nicknamed the place “Sítio canela de barro”.

The location is awful, way out in the middle of nowhere and far from everything. The place has no decent facilities: horrible bathrooms with no paper, terrible towels and bed linen, and a mattress that felt like cardboard would be more comfortable. The staff were extremely rude, except for the gentleman whose name I don’t know. I can’t give it zero stars because that isn’t an option. I wouldn’t recommend it even to my enemy, maybe to my mother-in-law.

There’s lots of room and greenery, and it’s a good spot for camping. The three pools and accommodations are nice, and the basic breakfast is good. I’d recommend staying in the yellow house. The shared rooms have ten triple bunks each, but only two showers and two toilets, which seems too few for a room that can hold up to 30 people.
