Pousada Sol

The view is beautiful and the host is kind, but the place really needs renovation. The room I was given was disappointing, though I can’t say how the others are. The building used to be a high-end residence, and must have been wonderful, but it’s being turned into an inn and parts of it look neglected, with rotting door frames, leaks, and stains on the walls. Our knit sheet kept slipping off the mattress. The bathroom had no shower enclosure, just a plastic curtain, and the door wouldn’t close. The sink had been improvised on top of an old whirlpool tub. Breakfast was simple and basic.

Pousada Casa do Sol feels like a peaceful escape surrounded by untouched nature. From the moment I arrived, the calm atmosphere helped me forget the worries outside. The rooms are elegant, with wide views that invite you to sit and take it all in, and the details seemed thoughtfully arranged for comfort. The staff deserve special praise. They were attentive to what guests needed and ready to help discreetly and efficiently. This hidden gem brings together natural beauty, comfort, and first-rate service. I’d happily recommend Pousada Casa do Sol to anyone looking for a world-class retreat, and I can’t wait to return to this peaceful oasis.
