The people working there were amazing and helped whenever I needed it. The place is generally very good, with a beautiful view, nice communal areas, and private bedrooms. But oxidation is going to ruin the installations, so some things should be changed to stainless steel or wood. The hills up to almost every bedroom feel really dangerous in the rain. I felt the same walking to the gym. The gym is sadly nearly destroyed by oxidation, and the equipment I could use was completely dirty. The beach is somewhat dangerous for small kids and much dirtier than I expected, with both natural debris and trash like water bottles and even a sofa...

It’s a peaceful place to rest, tucked among greenery at the end of the beach, with a great view. The pool area has its own charm too.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the place gives you decent value, though you shouldn’t expect luxury. It’s a rustic hotel on a hillside in Armacao, Penha BR, on a dead-end road. A former homestead turned into a retreat, it has spectacular ocean views if you get the right room, plus a private beach, pool and sauna. It’s near the city, but far enough away to feel like your own private island. Breakfast is included, though it wasn’t the best, and the Wi-Fi is unreliable. The room was decent but could use a newer bed. If you’re into the supernatural, keep your eyes and ears open for the ghost said to roam the Estate.
