Pousada da Gorete

Nice.

I recommend this place for couples and families planning to visit Parque Beto Carrero World.

The inn is simple, but the bed and pillows were comfortable, and breakfast was tasty and fresh. The cleaning could be better: our room had dust on the furniture, and the bathroom smelled like urine. When we arrived, Sr. Gert treated us very well and seemed friendly. But checkout left us with a bad impression. There’s no flexibility with check-in or checkout times, and right at noon he was at the door calling. We were already getting ready to leave, but even as he saw us packing, he brought over a broom and cleaning supplies. There wasn’t even a 10-minute grace period. We left at 12:05, and I grabbed all my things in a rush, any old way. We’d even considered booking another night and had mentioned it, but after that we changed our minds. We travel often and stay at inns, and we’ve never had this happen before. It really felt like we were being kicked out, and unfortunately it erased the good impression we’d had of the owners. Many inns are flexible about timing. We wouldn’t have minded paying to stay a little longer.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and cleaned every day, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Mr. Gert was so friendly and always happy to chat and share helpful tips. The location is peaceful, with good restaurants nearby, and we walked to and from Beto Carrero park. The pousada was great value. I’d gladly stay there again and recommend it.
