Verde & Mar Chalés

The area has a lot of mosquitoes, so bring repellent. The beach is unsuitable for swimming and so dirty that even walking barefoot there isn’t an option. The chalet was simple but pleasant, with a barbecue, living room and kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, hammock, and a view of the beach. It was comfortable and quiet, and you couldn’t hear people in the other chalets. There’s also a sand soccer court in the shared area. The warm, understanding service made us feel at home, including when our autistic son got very upset. It’s a convenient base for Beto Carrero, since you can walk to the park instead of dealing with the stress of driving. The hosts were welcoming, too.

We could walk to pretty much everything, including a market, bakery, restaurants, ice cream shops, pharmacy, and bars. The location is great, close to beaches like Armação and Ponto do Vigia, and Beto Carrero is about a 15-minute walk away. Uber was easy to call, too. The streets felt very safe at any time of day, which surprised me at first as I’m from SP. We could come and go from the chalet whenever we wanted. The chalet itself was lovely, spotless, well equipped, and so cozy, with nice decor and a smart TV that had Netflix, Prime, Disney, YouTube, and more. The housekeeper was kind and helpful, and the hosts were attentive, polite, and made us feel looked after at any hour. We had such a wonderful stay in SC and definitely plan to come back.

We found the place online and went as a family in July/24. The chalet was lovely, very clean, and in a good location, about a seven-minute walk from Beto Carrero and close to a supermarket, bakery, and beach. We loved staying there and recommend it.

At verde & mar chalés, the location, welcome, and family atmosphere are all great. It’s peaceful and quiet, and the hosts provide room service, too. I highly recommend it.
