Pousada Doluar

I chose the quadruple apartment for two people because it was advertised with a double bed and two single beds in an interior room. I wanted the extra room for comfort and privacy, whether one of us couldn’t sleep, my spouse snored, or I wanted to watch TV on a different channel or make a private phone call. The interior room was available on the first day, as booked. On the second day it had been locked, and my belongings were removed without warning. Reception told me this was common practice when only two guests were staying, since they supposedly didn’t need all four beds. I made a formal complaint over WhatsApp, and the manager agreed to reopen the room. At that same moment, she told me to move my car, even though I was correctly parked in an available space on a first-come basis. That had nothing to do with the room I’d booked and came across as inappropriate, with the appearance of retaliation. This disrupted my stay and, in my view, failed to honor what was offered. Consumers are entitled to what they booked. Under articles 30 and 35 of Brazil’s Consumer Defense Code, an offer forms part of the contract and must be fulfilled. Article 6, section III, also guarantees the right to clear and accurate information.

The team made our six days at Pousada Doluar special. Breakfast was delicious, and the women who looked after our room were friendly and attentive, cleaning it very thoroughly every day. The breakfast staff were wonderful too. I was also impressed by the room. It was a double room with two separate areas: one had a king bed, wardrobe, TV, and its own air conditioning; the other had two single beds, wardrobes, a TV, air conditioning, and a well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom had a hot shower, a great hair dryer, and good quality toiletries. It was a pleasant surprise to find everything matched the photos so well. Vanessa, the manager, is a wonderful guide. We arrived without plans, and she put together an itinerary for us. We also hired the pousada’s luxurious TRANSFER, and Sandro was such a nice guy. The shared kitchen area is open for guests to help themselves to biscuits and drinks from the machine, including coffee, hot chocolate, and tea, at no extra charge. Jefferson was one of the best hotel attendants I’ve met. He was always cheerful and willing to help, and his effort seemed completely natural. I was even more surprised to learn that he speaks English and Spanish. I loved the inclusive atmosphere at Doluar. Paula, another attendant, was just as warm and helpful. Thanks for such a great stay. I highly recommend it.

We stayed four nights with our family and all of us really enjoyed it. The pousada was cleaner and more comfortable than I expected, with cozy rooms, a wonderful breakfast, and a kind, attentive team. We’d happily book again when we return, and I recommend it. It’s close to Beto carreiro park, though walking there can be tiring after spending the day walking around the park. By car it’s seven minutes, which worked well for us. The staff were polite and friendly, and there are beach items like chairs and umbrellas available to rent. Our room was spacious and airy, with air conditioning and comfortable beds. The place was very clean and organized, and breakfast had a great selection. A really good pousada.
