The first room had small maintenance problems, including an outlet hanging out of the wall. I was moved, but the next room had its own list: the heater didn't work, even though winters there do get cool, and the table lamp was falling apart. The bottom of the desk chair was broken, something that should have been obvious from the damaged top cushion. Housekeeping also left the door unlocked at least three times when I returned from my daily routine. The mattress had only a flat sheet over it and smelled musty, as did the pillows, so I slept on the top comforter with the throw pillows and used a blanket from the closet. By the window, the wall had a very poor paint job or possibly mold.

From outside, the hotel looks tall and narrow, so we were surprised at how much space there is inside. It's clean and very spacious, and our room was spacious and spotless too. The location is central, very close to all the stores.

Paula at reception made my wife and me feel so welcome and took care of everything we needed. It was great, six out of five stars from me.
