Hotel Orleans

The room is quite small, but the breakfast is nice and the staff are welcoming.

Pretty standard.

The air conditioning worked well, and the location was okay. The room itself was reasonable, but there were no hooks for towels, hardly any storage, no large mirror, and no shampoo. Those seem like basic things to have for an overnight stay, so I found their absence careless. I only stayed one night, and it was satisfactory. Petrópolis has plenty of good hotels, but I booked late for New Year’s Eve and had few options. I can’t comment on breakfast since it was served only until 10 a.m., after a New Year’s Eve night. The city has much better places, and honestly, the price was high for what they offered.

The room could use better sun protection. The morning sun comes in, and the window film and blackout curtain don’t block enough. It’s also a bit noisy since the hotel faces the street, and there’s nowhere suitable to store clothes, like a wooden clothes rack. It’s very clean, with good breakfast and parking, and close to Petrópolis’s historic center and a bus terminal.
