Hotel São João

We paid 229.00 for a triple room, but the stay wasn't pleasant. The room was far too small for three beds and there was nowhere to put our luggage. The air conditioner couldn't keep up in such a small space, and the shower was much too hot. Worst of all, we found a tick on the bed.

I especially appreciated how attentive the staff were, and the room was tidy with a minibar that worked better than the fridge at my house. The complimentary breakfast was called simple, but it had cake, breads, juices in several flavors, coffee, milk, Danone, cereal, requeijão, jam, and doce de leite. There was water available whenever we wanted it, and reception was staffed around the clock. The location was handy too, with Mc Donalds, the bus station, two mini markets nearby, a small shop across the street, and a pizzeria next door. My only gripe was that on Sundays things close at noon. I wish that could be extended, since I would have stayed longer. Really good, and when I'm back in town I'll definitely stay with you again.

Everything was really clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The service gets a 10 from me. I'd definitely recommend it.

We were treated really well throughout our stay. The staff were kind and polite, and the place was very clean and organized. Breakfast was wonderful too.
