Oasis Motel

We went on March 31 hoping to get the spa suite we wanted, but it wasn’t available, so they offered us the new Neon N1 suite. Its tablet was supposed to let you order things and control the air conditioning and LED lights. The room lights were green, and when I tried changing the color, it didn’t work. Staff said that suite didn’t have that feature, but another Neon suite did, so we switched to N14. The lights there were blue, like on the website, but they still couldn’t be changed. We stayed because blue was more acceptable than green. The tub lights stopped working for a while. The air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted on the tablet, and there was no backup remote. We didn’t complain. I also missed having mirrors on the sides: there was only one on the ceiling over the bed, while the tub area had one on the ceiling and one on the side. Breakfast seemed very basic compared with other places we’ve been. Normal-sized bread instead of small rolls, and some fresh juice, would have improved it. The late-night bacon X sandwich was good, though the meat tasted strongly of Cafta and was dry. It could’ve been juicier, and for the price I expected more fries and a bigger sandwich. There was just one adult channel, which felt quite limited. I think our room was beside the kitchen or at the end of the corridor where staff walk. We could hear people laughing, talking, watching a game on their phones, using the microwave and blender, all while lying in bed. We kept the TV volume down so we wouldn’t bother anyone, but we were badly disturbed through the night and couldn’t sleep. I’m not sure I’d recommend it.
