Rubens, the host, was relaxed, welcoming, and easy to talk to. We were lucky he could take us in at the last minute, and he made us feel very welcome. The place is lovely, with a hammock, a lounge area with sofas and chairs, and a well-equipped kitchen guests can use. Our basic double room also had a single bed and a fan. There is Wi-Fi, though it went down after the rain, which apparently happens around town. There’s no garage.

It was clean and airy, but for the price I expected at least a TV and air conditioning. There was no AC, no TV, no soap in the bathrooms, and no breakfast. Nobody stays on site, either. The white curtain lets in the morning sun, so the room gets bright early.

A simple but really comfortable hostel, with this unit especially suited to couples and families. It’s quiet, with a supermarket and bakery right across the street. There’s Wi-Fi and a kitchen, and while there isn’t a reception desk, the owner is always available to come help. He also has good tips on places to visit.

The service was great, and Casamatta Casulo is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown. The rooms were clean and the mattress was comfortable, which matters a lot, haha. The shared area also has a nice setup and decor.

I felt right at home :) There’s a kitchen and living room, one parking space for a car, and the service was friendly.
