Jade Pousada Boutique

I’ve been staying here for six years now, and there’s no better inn 🥰🥰🥰🥰. So grateful, @jade.

Pousada Jade is such a charming place, especially the decor. The reception girls are lovely, and breakfast is tasty and generous. It’s well located on Rua Aurora, close to everything, including the beer bar, restaurants and square. They let me stay with my little dogs as an exception after I promised they wouldn’t be a bother. The girls were surprised at how quiet and well behaved they were, and how used to traveling they seemed. Our room had a little balcony and a good bed, with clean, fresh-smelling sheets and towels. The bathroom was good, and there was air conditioning and a minibar.

The location really is good, but that didn’t help when we couldn’t sleep or comfortably spend time in the room. Even the air conditioning didn’t work. We lost the nights we’d paid for. The inn is extremely basic, with a bare minimum standard, and it didn’t meet my expectations. The price is far too high for what they offer. The room was cramped and dark, poorly maintained, and the TV didn’t work. The bathroom was too small for even one person, and rain came in. Both room and bathroom were dirty and smelled bad. Breakfast was poor quality, with juice made from fruit that tasted past its best. I’m sharing this so other guests don’t get misled and waste their money. The owners need to be more flexible and understand that this place doesn’t meet the minimum standard for a night’s stay.
