Pirenópolis Natural Pousada e Spa

We loved it. Such a peaceful, pleasant spot. The little house was great, very well cared for and a joy to stay in. We spent a weekend there and had a wonderful time.

Clara welcomed us warmly and was so friendly. The place is calm and inviting, with lovely decor, a plant-filled yard and a hammock on the bedroom veranda. There’s also an outdoor hot tub. The rooms and bathrooms are new and spotless, with a minibar, ceiling fan and a very good bed. There’s a dining area with a fridge, electric stove and a beautiful wood-burning stove. Definitely worth staying.

The service was good, but the inn fell short. With a few small improvements, the owners could make it much more pleasant. The upstairs rooms have low ceilings, and mine got unbearably hot without air conditioning. The ceiling fan was dirty and barely moved any air. Even though the room was spacious, the cleaning was far below what I expected: there was a lot of dirt under the bed, and my feet got dirty just walking around. The shower had very little water coming out. There’s no breakfast, though there is an outdoor area with a fridge, stove and cups for guests to make their own food. I didn’t try it. The hot tub was closed because of the pandemic, and judging by the state of the facilities, I wouldn’t have used it anyway. It could be a cozy place, but the owner needs to take better care of it. Everything felt neglected.

The room was spacious and had a TV, and the bathroom was clean and looked good. The location is good, and they accept credit and debit cards. There’s no breakfast or private parking, and the internet doesn’t reach every room. I wouldn’t recommend it for people with mobility needs who have trouble using stairs.
