Pousada Casa Grande

The garden was so lovely that we spent plenty of time just sitting outside and enjoying the quiet. The location also worked really well, close to the beach and downtown but still private and peaceful. We stayed in three different rooms as we kept extending our trip, and each was clean, spacious, simple, and striking. The owners, Yayoi and Nilson, are wonderful, and Hugo and Stephanie were just as lovely. They were attentive, offered great suggestions, and even remembered us by name when we ran into them out and about. Our nine-year-old daughter felt at home too, and Hugo and Stephanie babysat a few times. She became friends with them right away. We appreciated the security gate, our own key, and the keypad. We skipped breakfast, though seeing what other guests had on their tables made us wish we hadn't. Everyone was careful about masks and sanitizing, which was reassuring at the time. We also took a private boat trip with Hugo and Stephanie. Of the five trips we've taken over the past year and a half, theirs was the most enjoyable. We travel here often and will keep coming back to Pousada Casa Grande. Thank you for being so wonderfully yourselves!

The staff were lovely, and Debora was especially kind. It's a warm, welcoming pousada with a beautiful garden and a really nice homemade breakfast. The location is excellent too. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
