We spent two days in Pirenópolis, checking out local restaurants and waterfalls, then returning at dawn for a swim, the hot tub, wine, and conversation. The view is inspiring, and the grounds are lovely, with plenty of open grass. The rustic restaurant is well maintained and serves an excellent breakfast, with very courteous service. There's also a pool and a Jacuzzi. The bedrooms are clean, nicely decorated, and well appointed, with optional hammocks to hang outside. Bring mosquito repellent. It feels tucked away, but this is a pricey bed and breakfast hotel, not a shoestring guest house or a "pousada" as Brazilians call one. Pirenópolis is a couple of hours from Brasília. I'd return to cavaleiro dos Pirineus.
