A simple, cozy place where the only noise is from nature. Seu Cezar was very polite and suggested some great places to visit. Breakfast had lots of variety, and they were always cleaning everything. There's a little river behind the rooms. It's all simple, and anyone complaining there's no flat-screen TV should see it as a chance to switch off. If you want to watch TV, stay home. I loved it and will come back whenever I can.

We spent a weekend here and it was awful. The room had no air conditioning, the furniture was old, and the TV couldn't get any channels. Breakfast had hardly any options, and my husband felt sick. The pool was always dirty, and barely any water came from the almost clogged shower. There was no service at all. The host César really isn't equipped to receive guests. If you want to isolate yourself with no basic comfort, this is the place. It needs renovations and needs to be made fit for hosting guests.

I recently stayed at Pousada da Mata in Pirenópolis - GO, and it wasn't a pleasant visit. The place has potential, but it wasn't well maintained. Our room wasn't what we expected: old furniture, visible wear, and no proper upkeep. Cleanliness was lacking too. We decided to leave before the stay was over because the experience was so bad. I hope these issues get addressed so future guests can have a better stay.

We stayed at Pousada da Mata over the Semana Santa holiday in 2024. It's very quiet and leafy, close to town, though the entrance is from the other side. The private chalets have bathrooms, balconies, hammocks, and good-quality bedding that was clean and pressed. The owners were welcoming, kind hosts. There's a pool, shower, and river, including an incredible natural pool. They have plans to heat the pool. Breakfast was very good, generous, varied, and constantly replenished. The place works well for families with kids, young couples, solo travelers who want to rest, or anyone wanting to connect with nature. The price felt fair for private chalets, a pool, indoor parking, and breakfast. Check-in is flexible, and rates vary between regular weekends and long holidays. Book ahead, as the inn tends to fill all eight chalets. Guests share the leisure areas or spend time on their own balconies. I have a few ideas for making the space even better. The breakfast area could be used from afternoon into evening for ping-pong, foosball, pool, darts, karaoke, talent shows, movie nights, storytelling, a bonfire, or clay craft workshops using river clay. They could also showcase local products like cheese, cachaça, and pamonhas, or make cheese bread and recipes from Pirenopolis. The owners have experiences and stories to share, and that could give guests a taste of Pirenopolis culture beyond the stay. Kids and families would love it.
