Hotel Balneário

We have stayed at the balneário for many years, so my mother and I can compare it with how things were before. The staff are fantastic. Thamires at reception is very friendly, the maître is wonderful and polite, and the waiters are excellent. We are bringing up a few issues because we care about this hotel and want it to get the attention it deserves. The rooms need a good paint job. In my mother's room, 234, the shower stall leaked and water spread across the bathroom. Room cleaning could be better too: the TV screen looked greasy, there was hair in the corners, and the table where we sat in the dining room was dirty. These problems need attention, especially so nobody slips and gets hurt in the bathroom. We were here at Carnival and heard people complaining about one another behind their backs. We'd rather tell the hotel directly so you know about it. We have a lot of affection for the owner, and hope these comments are taken in that spirit. Gratitude, Juslene.

The hotel's location is perfect, and we enjoyed the Festa Italiana at Hotel Balneário last weekend. The party had plenty of food, everything tasted great, and we liked the music too. Our room was spacious and tidy, and so was the bathroom. The coffee and lunch were very good as well. A few things could be improved: the shower stall needs a shelf for shampoo and conditioner, the pillows weren't good, and the TV didn't work. I saw that renovations and improvements were underway, including another pool. We had a very good stay and will definitely come back.

We couldn't try breakfast, so extending it until at least 9:30 would help. The parking area was hard to use, especially with a large car, and getting out of a spot was difficult. The room cleaning was okay, though the hotel needs maintenance: the third-floor corridor by the elevator looked rough, and my bed in the newer section was already worn. The TV wasn't a Smart TV and there was no cable service. My reservation was for a more expensive “luxury” room with air conditioning, but the room we got had none. The afternoon staff offered another room, but it smelled strongly of mold. They then said only the morning staff could handle a refund, and those staff were helpful and resolved our problem. The location is great, even though the center was chaotic during Carnival, since everything was within walking distance. Still, I didn't have a good experience on our one-night stay.

I coordinate women's trips, and this weekend our group of 45 women stayed at Balneário. Everyone praised the hotel. The service was impeccable, the place was clean, the pool was lovely, and breakfast was plentiful. The food felt homemade. I hope our partnership lasts a long time.
