Portal Palace Hotel

Honestly, I had a terrible experience. The place is nice, but it was very dirty and unhygienic, so I wouldn't recommend it.

The staff members I saw were polite, but they seemed overloaded. I only saw two employees handling all kinds of work, with no clear roles. To me, they were being worked like slaves. The hotel has the potential to be five-star, but it feels neglected. The TVs and air conditioning didn't work, and the tables in the rooms were broken. The bathrooms were very dirty. Breakfast was limited, with stale, hard food, and there was mold everywhere, from the walls to the food. A good hotel means little if it’s run so miserly.

There were only a few drink options in the rusty drinks cabinet, which was locked with a padlock, and nobody was at reception. My room had no pillow or blanket. The bathroom had urine splashes, the minibar was dirty, and I cleaned it myself. There was a foul smell. Breakfast had few options, with limp bread and a moldy cake, as shown in the photo. The soaps were expired. The owner acted unethically by blaming one employee, who does a bit of everything there but isn't responsible for the administrative side.

The space wasn't good and was dirty, with few options. It could have been five-star, but it was missing things: good body soap, good face soap, clean towels, working air conditioning, and a clean space.
