Hotel Deville Prime Porto Alegre

The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of room in both the bed and the room. But the place feels past its prime, a bit shabby, and nowhere near five-star quality. Hygiene was seriously lacking during my stay. The remote had a sticky glob on it, and I had to wipe down a brown, dirty bedside table with an alcohol wipe. That didn’t feel reassuring during the pandemic. Dinner was average, and the pasta sauce had little flavor. Breakfast had lots of choices, though the quality was average. Parking was about 20 R$ a day. Being close to the airport was a big plus for catching an early or late flight. There’s also a pool and a pleasant outdoor sitting area where I got some sun after breakfast. The hotel is due for an upgrade, though I know this is a tough time for travel businesses. Thanks :)

The bartenders were happy to speak English while I ate alone, so I ended up having a few meals at the bar. The food was local, tasty, and reasonably priced. I only wish the bar stools were taller, since I felt like a kid sitting there. The hotel is clean, close to the airport, and easy for international travelers to get around. I enjoyed my stay over several nights and would recommend it to international visitors to Porto Alegre.

The included breakfast was great and kept me going through the day. I found Hotel Deville while looking for a place for work in the Porto Alegre area. It’s near the airport with quick highway access, and I don’t remember hearing air traffic. The hotel was comfortable and clean, with excellent amenities. I’d recommend it for business travelers and conferences.

The windows don’t offer much of a view, since the hotel is in a densely populated area. I also missed out on the lovely outdoor pool setting because it rained both days I was there. Still, the bilingual staff were ready to help with any request. The food was very good, especially the spectacular dinner, and the breakfast buffet had lots of variety.
