O Hostel

The shared bathroom was the only thing that bothered me, though I kept the five stars since it's a hostel, not a hotel. The place is clean, with a cozy atmosphere and air conditioning that cools really well. The kitchen is well equipped, and we could store our things in the fridge and use the stove, microwave, sandwich maker, and other items.

We chose a double room, though there are shared rooms that cost less. It has air conditioning, but the bathroom is shared and gets busy at certain times. Service is excellent, and weekday prices are among the lowest. It's about a 20-minute walk to the beach.

It's about 15 minutes from the beach and close to a bakery, markets, restaurants, and even the center. The price is really good. The women's room had a lot of mold, which really aggravated my rhinitis. They could also look into reducing the mosquitoes. Those seem like specific issues that would be easy to fix.

I can see that the place might be nice, but the staff member was awful. Booking showed R$50 to reserve. When I went to pay by card, I was told there'd be a fee and the total would be R$55. Why should I have to cover the establishment's card costs? If you accept card payments, you should handle those charges yourself. There wasn't even a fan in the room, so we had to wait until 9 p.m. for the air conditioning in that heat, with mosquitoes everywhere. I also heard them talking badly about me to other guests. When I asked about it, they had the nerve to lie. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
