The people, food, and service were all outstanding. It was a great stay.

The good points were the location, the pleasant pool, and staff who seemed willing to help, but they couldn't make up for the maintenance problems. We stayed in room 20 for seven days and wouldn't recommend it, especially to anyone with breathing problems. By the fourth day I needed medication for allergic rhinitis. The room looked clean at first, but it constantly felt dirty, smelled strongly of mold and age, and seemed poorly ventilated. The air conditioner was very dirty and clearly hadn't been maintained, adding to the bad smell. The room felt stuffy and shut up. The bathroom looked grimy, and water from the shower, sink, and toilet was yellowish. The drain started clogging during showers, which was uncomfortable, and the old sheets smelled moldy and made it hard to rest. Our first impression on entering was very negative. The room felt old, poorly kept, and moldy. One morning, my fiancé ran out of water halfway through his shower before we were due to go on an outing, leaving him covered in soap. We called reception, and an employee who seemed willing to help offered a bucket of water so he could finish washing. We appreciated the effort, but the situation was infuriating: we were already late for our planned outing, and the accommodation had cost a lot. At that price, something like this shouldn't happen.

The kitchen staff were attentive and helpful, and the breakfast tasted good, which is a real strength even for a simple pousada. But during breakfast and especially at night, unvaccinated stray cats wandered among guests and climbed on the tables. I saw them licking coffee bottles and cake containers left out for guests in the afternoon. My cousin is allergic to cats and started having a panic attack, so we asked for help. A receptionist said they'd take care of it, but nothing changed. Since they said the cats didn't belong to the pousada, they could have called the local zoonosis service. We had to change rooms because the outdoor air conditioner units serving most rooms were in terrible condition and made more noise at night than the air conditioner inside our room. The rooms on our side also lost water, which was resolved by moving us. The room itself was basic, with a mattress that was much too soft, a grimy bathroom that needed a lot of maintenance, a sewage smell, and patched doors and windows. There was a minibar for storing things bought outside, especially water, which was extremely expensive there. The Wi-Fi on my phone only worked sometimes. I asked an employee why my laptop wouldn't connect, but he said there wasn't a problem and left it at that. We were welcomed warmly on arrival, and the place looked attractive and well cared for at first. Still, I got the impression they did the bare minimum to keep the business running, because maintenance seemed nonexistent. I went on vacation with my cousin, but with these issues, especially if animals that could carry diseases are a concern, or you want a basic level of comfort, I'd choose another pousada at a similar price.

I spent New Year's Eve 2025/2026 here with my mother and was very happy with the stay. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with fresh cakes, fried plantain, and tapioca made to order. The whole team, from reception to the kitchen and housekeeping, were very attentive. It's in a convenient spot near the beach and the center, but far enough from the crowds to be on a quiet street. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to Porto de Galinhas.

Good morning! The pousada is right in the center of Porto de Galinhas, and the team were polite and a solid 10. Breakfast was filling, and I felt fine leaving my belongings in the room while I went to the beach; nobody touched them. The worst part was the water. The bathroom sink water was muddy-looking all the time and a little salty. The shower water was salty too, and soap didn't seem to lather properly because of it. Apart from that, I recommend the pousada. They also have a place where you can stay while waiting for your ride back to the airport after checkout at noon, and they offer a shower there. That was handy.
