The one good thing here is the location, less than 100 meters from the beach. The rest was a very disappointing stay. We were here once in 2021 and came back in 2026, but the problems from that first visit are still there and seem worse. Back then the room was uncomfortable and the bathroom was so tiny it barely fit one person. This time we arrived Thursday night and got standard room 04, which the inn says is an average room. The facilities were old and poorly kept: a rusty minibar, a very small TV with no smart features, and too few useful outlets. There were only three, one for the minibar, one for the TV, and one for the open-channel receiver. To charge a phone, we had to unplug the TV or use the bathroom outlet and leave the phone on the floor. The bathroom was even more concerning. The shower was visibly dirty with mud buildup, and my wife decided not to use it. The next day I bought a scrub sponge and cleaned it myself. There was no soap dish, shampoo holder, or towel rack either, which made the space even less functional. This place doesn’t meet a basic standard for comfort or hygiene. I sincerely hope the owners see this and make the needed improvements, because as things are now, the inn seems unsanitary and unsuitable for operating.

We stayed at this inn with my parents about 15 days ago, and it was a good experience. The breakfast was delicious, and I have no complaints about the cleaning. The best part was the welcome when we arrived. Mirian at reception was so cheerful and smiley, and her service was excellent. We’ll come back.

The location is great, but there are quite a few things the owners should address. The rooms need somewhere to put luggage, and the bathrooms are so small they won’t fit larger guests. The bedding and towels aren’t changed daily, and the air conditioner drips. Some TVs are so tiny they look like tablets. Since the rooms face the street and security feels minimal, adding a gate at the entrance would be a good idea. The owners should renovate and pay attention to smaller things too, like making the reception warmer and friendlier.

The location is the only real advantage. For similar prices, there are better places nearby, and other guests seemed to have the same complaints about most things. I’d think carefully before booking here. They tried to charge us an undisclosed pet fee. We refused to pay, and the attendant got angry but let it go. The front desk was chaotic, and they even had a child watching it. Saying good morning or afternoon and getting no response was normal. It felt like we were doing the staff a favor. The service was awful and the place was falling apart. Our rooms had weak, leaking air conditioners and were near the septic tank, so there was a bad smell. One room had three doors, including one that opened into the room next door, which meant no security or privacy. We woke up to people trying to open the door and were afraid to leave our things behind when going out. The room door lock was also hard to open and close. The bathroom had no shower enclosure, and the shower had no pressure, spraying water everywhere. The mirrors were dirty. The yellow room light kept flickering, so putting on makeup wasn’t possible. At breakfast, the food lids were greasy and looked like they hadn’t been washed.

I booked what I thought was the inn’s best room for a group of five women spending Christmas there for my mother’s birthday. I’d stayed before, and my friends had had problems in a lower-grade room, including dirt, electric shocks, half a roll of toilet paper, and awful sheets. Even booking the best room didn’t spare us trouble. We checked in at 4 p.m. Rooms 23 and 22 weren’t ready with basic linens. Room 23 had no sheets or bathroom mat, and room 22 had a pillow with no pillowcase. Both rooms had sticky floors and no towels. I went downstairs, and the receptionist said he’d get towels and that the sheets were coming. We went out for the evening. When we returned at 10:23 p.m., there were still no sheets. He said they were on the way and told me I had to wait. The whole town of Porto de Galinha was closed, and he still kept saying they were coming. I asked for proof, but he dodged the question. How can they give guests a room without a complete set of linens, then have no sheet at 10:23 at night? He even told me to stay on duty with him while we waited. After I kept insisting, I asked him to get bedding from an empty room. He went looking and brought two comforters, acting sarcastic. We’d paid a lot for Christmas night and had nothing to cover ourselves with. I’m contacting the relevant authorities about the embarrassment and terrible service. Room 22’s air conditioner was broken and only blew air. We’d have had to go downstairs and deal with that same rude, incompetent, unprepared employee again, so we slept in the heat. The next day, a housekeeper who had treated us very well the day before asked how the night went. When I told her, she said they still didn’t have sheets and that the whole city was in the same situation. Can you believe it? I messaged the owner on WhatsApp while it was happening and still haven’t heard back. There’s no proper receptionist: the housekeepers have to handle several jobs and help guests, while a staff member arrives at noon to manage check-ins and check-outs. There’s also no luggage room for anyone arriving before check-in who wants to go to the beach. They put bags in a laundry room or an empty bedroom. The employee was unprepared, sarcastic, and inattentive throughout.
