Pousada Porto dos Reis

Great value for money. It’s simple, with no luxury, but has what you need. The rooms were clean, Vanessa’s service was impeccable, and the location is great, close to the village and Porto de Galinhas’ main beach. The Wi-Fi worked well the whole time. The balcony with a clothesline was a real plus for drying wet clothes. Breakfast was filling, with enough for a good meal even if the selection wasn’t huge. They make scrambled eggs and tapioca to order.

The balcony with a hammock and clothesline was a great extra, and the room was cleaned daily and left tidy. It’s a simple pousada, but it does what it promises, with a good room, working air conditioning, a decent bathroom and shower, hot water, and even glass cups in the room, which I liked. Breakfast was delicious, and you can ask them to make scrambled eggs and tapioca fresh. The receptionist was polite and friendly. The location is perfect, very close to the natural pools and Rua das Sobrinhas. I loved the stay!

The room was just what we needed for sleeping, with no luxuries, and they cleaned it every day. All the women who helped us were excellent, and breakfast was varied and excellent, with tapioca and eggs made fresh. It starts at 7:30, but if you have an excursion, they’ll open at 7 for you. The hair dryer and iron are shared, so you have to fetch them, use them, and return them to a specific place, which is a pain if you don’t fancy climbing the stairs. We were in room 5 on the top floor. It rained a lot, leaving water pooled in front of the inn, which even made it hard to get an Uber. The quicker route to the beach takes two minutes through an alley that floods in the rain and smells of urine. I wouldn’t go that way alone. The other route takes about seven minutes.

The inn is cozy and clean, with no mold, and the service from Wander, his daughter Vanessa, and Uedna was great. It’s a one-minute walk to the beach and three minutes to the town center. Rooms come with air conditioning, a minibar, a strong shower, a hammock, and a balcony. I highly recommend it.
