Pousada Yeeha

The prices are affordable!

That was easily the worst place I've ever stayed. The location is the one thing going for it, but there are other inns nearby, and I'd pick one that answers WhatsApp and has someone there to check you in. We booked this pousada on CVC's recommendation, which honestly makes me think they should take another look at the place. My husband and I arrived close to 2:00 a.m. after a long trip and found nobody to let us in. There isn't even a reception desk. We stood outside with our bags for nearly an hour, calling the owner and sending WhatsApp messages, but got no answer. Eventually we gave up and slept at another pousada nearby. My husband tried calling again the next day, still with no response. We finally went over in person and reached someone at the separate place where this pousada serves breakfast. That's a strange setup too. They did eventually take us to our room. The room was another letdown. It smelled musty, there was a cockroach under the minibar, the air conditioner dripped onto the head of the bed, and the shower was clogged. The blanket smelled of dirt and sweat, as if it had never been washed. I don't mind basic accommodations, but they need to be clean. That's the minimum. My only praise is for Lucas. He was lovely, helped us with the clogged shower, and was always polite and kind. I'd give him a thousand stars. The pousada itself gets zero. Leaving tired guests stranded outside at 2:00 a.m. in a place completely unfamiliar to us was outrageous and showed total disregard for them.

The location was great for enjoying the town and visiting other places around Ipojuca. Shops and restaurants are right in front and next door. Breakfast is served at another pousada owned by the same person, three houses down the same street. Our room had a minibar, air conditioning, a double bed, and a TV. Whenever we asked for something, the staff took care of it right away. One thing they could change is the key arrangement: leaving the suite key at reception doesn't mean the room will be tidied unless you specifically say that's why you're leaving it. Lucas and Elias welcomed us so warmly. We'd recommend the place and come back another time.

I stayed at pousada yeeha from March 14-16, 2020, and it was simply awful. The place was filthy, and rain came through the corridor and into the rooms. The TV and air conditioning didn't work. Manager Lucas tried hard to help us, but he doesn't have the authority to fix anything. The pousada partners with another place called sereia de porto, which is a bit more organized. yeeha was so bad that my sister and her husband went home the next day because it was raining right onto their bed. Nobody should have to put up with that. The price is good, but the stay was terrible. At breakfast, if you don't arrive early, there may be nowhere to sit. I'm still upset about everything we went through there. My sister is also still waiting for the refund of the payment she made.
