Evva Pousada

We booked a table at the restaurant for 8:00 pm on 27/03!2026. When we arrived on time, our waiter, Jonathan, didn’t know about the reservation. That was okay, though, and he seated us and treated us attentively. The restaurant area where we were placed was empty. What disappointed us was that diners who weren’t staying at the inn were kept completely separate from the guests. We could hear the live music and the other guests, but a wall divided us. It felt unfriendly and awkward, and we really didn’t feel welcome, despite the waiters’ kindness. We had hoped to try Evva’s menu, see the atmosphere and the inn, and maybe stay there in the future. Instead, the experience was so disappointing that we gave up on dinner, had two beers, paid, and went back to our pousada. We were staying next door at Pousada Tatua, which felt much more welcoming. We still don’t understand this policy, and would gently suggest reconsidering such an unfriendly decision. We left unsure whether the restaurant was even worth getting to know.

Evva is a lovely new pousada in Tatuamunha, in Porto de Pedras, along the well-known “rota ecológica dos milagres.” The whole property is beautiful, the restaurant is great, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was excellent too. The tastefully designed bungalows, each with a private pool, are fantastic. The beach here is excellent and very quiet. A fairly short walk to the left takes you to Praia de Lages, while walking the other way brings you to the Tatuamunha river. The pousada lends bikes, so you can ride to watch the sunset on the river bridge, where manatees live. They can also be seen in the sea at Tatuamunha. There’s a spa, sauna, and pool bar, among other facilities, and they can arrange jangada trips. I especially recommend the outing to the natural pool at Lages. I’d come back.

The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. I only stayed two days, which was a shame, because the bungalows were excellent and very comfortable. The place had just opened, with a fantastic setup, and the bed, sheets, and pillows were all in great shape. I’ll come back!

We had a lovely romantic dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the meals were wonderful throughout our stay. The service was spectacular too. Best inn in the Milagres area! Congratulations to everyone, especially Vanessa at reception. I highly recommend it!
