Great.

I was traveling for work and didn't want to get irritated, so I went on to Boituva and stayed at Hotel Garrafão. It was excellent value: a great room with air conditioning, and a breakfast with so much variety I couldn't decide what to eat. Everything was clean, just as it should be. Earlier, I had spoken with the owner in person, but there was no vacancy since I hadn't booked. She referred me to a partner guesthouse, Pousada do Sr. Jorge. I went there, and the place was terrible, with very poor conditions and a shared bathroom. They even asked whether I'd brought soap.
The owner is really kind and attentive, and makes you feel at home. It's a simple place that works well if you're traveling for work. Ask for a room with Dimas de Wi-Fi, since some rooms don't get Wi-Fi. The rooms are basic, the mattresses are okay, and there's air conditioning. There's a TV, though I didn't test it. There isn't a dedicated place to work, but there are tables at the guesthouse. Breakfast is unfortunately quite poor. For the price per night, that's understandable, and even stopping at a bakery for breakfast still leaves the stay good value.
A lovely guesthouse, and I was welcomed so warmly. I'm grateful for all the kindness.
My husband and I stayed for one night on April 4, 2025, because we had an urgent matter to handle the next day. Dona Tetê welcomed us so warmly. The house is wonderful, and so is the city.
