Casa Condominio Mont Carmelo

We stayed in apartment 27A, and I wouldn't recommend it. The room was too small for four people, despite being described as suitable for that many. Having two bathrooms helped a bit, but the bidet shower kept dripping, some tiles were loose, and one morning we woke up to a flooded room. The shower water never got hot, either. Ants came in every night and even climbed onto the fridge. The kitchen containers were old, and the Teflon frying pan was badly scratched. The curtains also let in too much light for sleeping. If you want the room cleaned or the towels and bed linen changed, you have to pay extra. For what they charge, the stay is far too expensive for what it offers. I didn't like the accommodation, the residence, the room, or the location, and I can't recommend it.

The parking spaces were so tight that we had to get out through the back of the car. Staff started maintenance very early, talking loudly and arguing with each other in front of guests. We also asked for a burnt out bathroom light in the bedroom to be replaced, but it never happened.

The building looks nice, but our stay in room 10A was a letdown. It was infested with cockroaches, and when we told the hotel staff, we got no proper help or attention. We also got just one towel per guest. After three days, we asked for a replacement and were ignored, so we ended up using the same towel for eight days. There’s no room service or even basic cleaning unless you pay an extra R$ 50, or clean the room yourself. The service was awful and fell short of what I’d expect for a comfortable stay. I don’t recommend this hotel.

The beds were extremely hard, the mattress was stained, and the parking was such a mess that we were squeezed in. We spent five days with the same towels, and even paying extra for cleaning didn’t get them changed. They don’t provide towels for the pool or beach, either. For what we paid, it really wasn’t worth it. A hotel would have cost only a little more and offered a completely different level of service, including breakfast and at least a soap for emergencies. And, of course, a decent towel. We won’t be back!
