The place felt more like a very basic inn than a hotel, with plain facilities that seemed short on care. The pool was extremely dirty, and the little carp pond was so full of grime and algae that we could only make out shadows. My son said there was a monster in the water. The pool photo also doesn’t match the real pool. There were lots of cockroaches. When we complained, the owner said they were there because pest control had been done, but shouldn’t that have the opposite effect? Breakfast wasn’t very good either: the coffee was weak and some items were rather tasteless. The air conditioner was really noisy, and with the room’s very low ceiling it got so hot that putting up with the AC noise was difficult. The TV was an old tube set, and its remote didn’t work. We complained, but nobody fixed it. The shower kept changing temperature, and a tall person couldn’t fit under it.
