Hotel Pousada Hamburgo

Great.

I stayed at Pousada Hamburgo Suíte 16, 7 -9 de junho 2025. The staff were attentive and the service was friendly, which was a real plus. But the upkeep and facilities fell short in a few ways. The bedding and towels weren’t changed during the two days I was there. The air conditioner was directly above the bed and made so much noise that it was hard to sleep. The water seemed to come from a well; it smelled strongly of rust and looked cloudy, making even brushing my teeth uncomfortable. The inn has potential, but it needs a lot of improvement in its facilities and basic guest care to make stays more pleasant.

The location is the only thing I’d recommend. The inn is simple but very dirty, especially the bathroom. The bottom of the toilet and inside the sink were in a terrible state, there was toilet paper stuck to the ceiling, and the shower enclosure was appalling. The breakfast was poor too, and the price doesn’t match what you get. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The customer service was wonderful, and breakfast was ordinary, nothing special. But the rest of this place was awful. The bathroom was filthy, with a smell like a packed restroom after a party. The well water had a really unpleasant rusty odor, the shower stall was grimy, the walls were yellow, and even a quick wipe brought off dirt. I wasn't sure the sheets had been changed; if they had, they were stained and dirty. When I arrived, staff were cleaning with an old mop and worn-out brooms, and the bleach smell was overpowering. Parking was poor too. We had to leave the car far away and hope for a closer space. We regretted booking here, but with a one-year-old baby, packing everything up to move would have been a lot. We stayed just one night, then left early to find somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend spending money here. The management needs to urgently review the place's condition.
