Pousada Mundo Verde

Just perfect.

The location couldn't be better, within walking distance of the quadrato and the beach, and this was a lovely retreat from home in Canada. We stayed in the Bangelo suite and loved the spacious room and bathroom, including the his-and-hers sinks and shower. We also had a massage therapist come to our room and give us a lovely massage overlooking the lush vegetation. Breakfast was delicious, the staff were kind and helpful, and the pool was cool and clean, a nice change from the warm ocean. 💯 recommend. 🇨🇦 ❤️🇧🇷

We stayed seven nights and had power outages on four of them. One night the electricity was out until early morning, leaving us without air conditioning or a fan in the summer heat. From what we saw, this seems to happen regularly, since there were candles in the bathrooms for showering by candlelight. Reception said they had already requested a generator but the person responsible hadn't provided one. The last night was difficult too: we had to pack our bags for the next day's departure without power. It's hard to spend a week somewhere without the facilities to look after its guests. I work online, and on two nights I couldn't work because the power didn't return until early morning. On our first night, while the lights were still on, the shower was cold and the bathroom flooded. Halfway through that first shower, the power went out and it turned into a cold shower.
