My stay at Hotel Miola was full of problems. On the first day I was put in a dirty room with a strong sewage and mold smell that made it impossible to stay there. After I complained, I was moved to another room, but it had poor cleaning, no working Wi-Fi, air conditioning blowing toward my face, mold, a broken mini fridge, blankets that smelled strongly of sweat, and ants. The next day I had to complain again and was moved for a third time. That was the only room where I could finish the stay, though the cleaning still wasn't good. The pool water was cloudy, suggesting poor maintenance. I also saw a serious safety lapse: roof work was happening without warning signs, and it nearly hit a guest. The staff were inattentive, breakfast had little variety, and the small parking area was unpaved. The experience was frustrating and far from what I expected. I don't recommend the hotel.

The shower was decent, but everything else was awful. When we arrived for check-in, there weren't even towels in the room. The cleaning was deplorable. We stayed 3 days and they didn't even replace the bathroom bin liner. I can only imagine the state of the bedding and towels. Shower water flooded the bathroom, and the same floor cloth was left there for all 3 days. They advertise room service, but it amounted to a restaurant by the pool where you carry your own purchase to the room. We ordered dinner and had to take the dirty dishes back ourselves because nobody came to collect them. Next time I might as well wash them too. We also bought a tour at the hotel reception, and they simply forgot to pick us up. Right now I've been waiting an hour for another car to come get us. I know the agency is at fault, but even this managed to make things harder. Without a doubt, this is the worst place I've ever stayed, worse than a guesthouse by a bus station.

This Hotel is nowhere near 4 stars, and would have to try hard even to make 3. The photos are very misleading. I booked based on them and regretted it badly. The receptionists were grumpy and rude, and breakfast was disappointing. Our room was awful, dirty, and had a strong smell, even after we asked to change rooms. In the first room, the air conditioning didn't work and neither did the lights. If you want to rest, feel welcome, and be treated well, don't go to Miola Hotel. I don't recommend it to anyone. Our experience was terrible.

The pool area and bar were filthy, with food scraps and plastic all over the floor, and the water was always cloudy. I wouldn't even walk around there barefoot. The room was in awful shape too: peeling walls, no grout in the bathroom, an unfinished shower enclosure, and a bathroom so tiny you could barely sit on the toilet, and then the door wouldn't open. The ceiling and shower taps made me not want to touch anything. The air conditioning barely worked and didn't cool the room properly. The cleaning was supposedly done, but we saw no difference. The sheets, pillowcases, and towels weren't changed unless we asked at reception, and every time they said the laundry hadn't delivered them, every single day. That's either a lie or poor organization. The replacements came without bags or anything and always smelled awful, of sweat and dirt. The blankets were the same, thin, old little throws. I don't see the point of a cleaning fee when we had to change everything ourselves. If we left the pillowcases off, they just took them away, and we had to get replacements at reception and put them on ourselves. They always stank. The service was terrible, and they treated us as if they were doing us a favor. Breakfast had very few choices and nothing was very good. The ham and mussatela were kept in the fridge and reused every day until they were melting. The dining area was smaller than the number of guests, so you had to come very early to get a seat. Later on, there was hardly anything left. My mother-in-law was in another room and was lying down when a housekeeper came into her locked room. They have spare keys and enter without warning, supposedly to clean, though we hadn't requested it. They only cleaned when you left the key at reception and went out. I won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They should be ashamed of what they offer for the price, while calling it a new and renovated hotel.

The pool water was cloudy every time I saw it, and people were allowed to eat and drink in the pool. Several guests had glass bottles along the edge, too. The room Wi-Fi didn't work, and at check-in I was given passwords for neighboring rooms as well. Apparently every room has a different password, which makes no sense. The hotel needs a serious, urgent deep clean and repairs. There was mold in the rooms and bathrooms. The apartment balconies were basically unusable because they stayed wet from air-conditioner drains above, which also meant mold and snails. It's described as close to the beach, but the waterfront is at least 400 meters away. Shops, restaurants, and convenience stores are also a walk away. That may not sound far, but there are better-located hotels in the area.
