Pousada Orla Do Sol

The price felt fair for a simple place with a comfortable, welcoming room. The bedding was clean and smelled fresh, and everyone treated us so well. I came in with some preconceived ideas and was pleasantly surprised. We’d switched inns partway through the trip after being disappointed by the first hotel, so this stay was a relief. A few little cleaning details could use attention: sand builds up in the shower door track and makes it stick, the damp sea air leaves visible mildew on the shower, and the low air conditioner could use a wipe when the room is cleaned. Still, I’m grateful for the stay. My little ones loved the tapioca porridge.

The staff were a 10. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, but not bad either. The rooms feel old, and the internet was so poor that the TV wasn’t really usable. The parking area could be better organized: it shares space with a house, and you have to get past a dog and some piles of scrap wood.

Everything was well organized, and the inn is close to the beach and near everything. The breakfast was wonderful, and Rosa and Naiane were especially friendly. We loved the place and will definitely come back.

The staff were polite and helpful, and breakfast was good. But the place as a whole doesn’t come close to how I remember it from years ago, when Pousada Orla do sol in Prado/BA was run by sr. Nelson. I returned to Prado thinking about how pleasant that earlier stay had been, but my impression this time was poor, from the mattress to the pool. At checkout, the person in charge wasn’t there. I had already paid by bank transfer at check-in, but still needed an invoice. I’ve sent several messages since then and keep being told it will be sent, but it never arrives. That’s a very disappointing part of the service to guests. I won’t return, and I’ll have to take legal action over the invoice.
