Al Mar Suites

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was lovely, and the service was excellent, especially the hospitality from Roberta and Paulo. The inn is right across from the church and village, which is a great location. My only issues were the lack of parking, though there are a few private lots nearby, and the LED switches in the room stayed lit in the dark. That could bother anyone who needs a completely dark room to sleep.

The location is great, but the service was a huge letdown. Breakfast had very few choices. We ordered tapioca and an omelet, waited a long time, and both tasted awful. They really need to learn how to make tapioca. There was nobody around to take drink orders by the pool on Saturday afternoon. The so called afternoon tea was embarrassing too, just a small roll and a cookie, with nothing else. We had small children with us and asked to check out at 1 pm, since we couldn't get back from the beach and leave by noon. They turned us down, even though check in doesn't start until 3 pm. I visit Praia do Forte often, and this was easily the worst hotel I've stayed at. There are plenty of inns and hotels nearby with much better quality and far more respect for their guests.

We were very happy with our stay at the inn. The room was charming and well equipped, and breakfast was wonderful. The reception staff were especially helpful and spoke with such kindness. I'd recommend it.

Everything felt just right. I was travelling with my mother-in-law, who has a disability, and everyone gave us all the care and attention we could have hoped for. The suite was comfortable and modern, the staff service was excellent, and the inn is well placed, close to everything. I'd come back without a second thought 🥰
