Zili Pernambuco Hostel & CoWorking

I planned to spend two or three days in Recife, but ended up staying almost two weeks, mostly because of this hostel. It was relaxed and easygoing, with kind, friendly, helpful staff. The kitchen was well organized and always clean, as was the rest of the hostel. It's an unpretentious place in a lovely neighborhood in a very cool, unpretentious city.

I had a great time at Zili Hostel. The volunteering staff were wonderful, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. There's a big kitchen where you can cook whatever you like, but it closes at 10:30, so keep that in mind.

The cheerful decor, friendly staff, nice rooms, and great location made this a good choice for a night. I wouldn't suggest it to someone hoping for organized activities or that kind of atmosphere, since that wasn't the vibe I got. I was just after somewhere to stay, and it worked well.

I booked two nights and wound up staying a whole week. It was the cleanest hostel I've ever been to, in a good location, with a safe feel and awesome staff. Thanks to Yuri, Mauricio, Junior, Victoria, and of course mr. Carioca. I miss you all 😊
