Chalé dos Gnomos

Ciça makes us feel right at home every time. Since our first stay at Pousada Chalé Dos Gnomos, we only go to Mauá-Maringá when there’s availability there. The chalets are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, and breakfast is delicious. Ciça makes jams from fruit grown at the inn. The location is perfect, on the main street on the Minas side, so we don’t need the car except to visit the more distant waterfalls. I always recommend Chalé Dos Gnomos!

The setting is charming and romantic, with a pleasant wooded area, fruit trees, and a lovely garden. You can enjoy real quiet while still being close to the bustle, and there’s plenty of comfort along with very attentive service. The owner, Cissa, makes you feel like part of the family. She gives the impression she runs this inn to serve and treat guests well, not just to make money. This is the right place if you want that kind of stay.
