Pousada Montserrat

We had a very pleasant weekend and Rogério welcomed us so warmly. He was attentive and helpful throughout. The grounds are beautifully kept, with mown grass and lovely hydrangeas, and the river behind the inn adds an extra sense of calm.

I spent three very pleasant days here. Our room was simple and could use a few small repairs, but it was comfortable, and the bed was very good. The outdoor areas are carefully maintained, and breakfast was plentiful. One thing to improve: the towels don't dry there, so we had to use damp ones. I asked for fresh ones after two nights and they changed them right away, but daily changes would be better. I recommend the inn.

We were told there wouldn't be room service during our two-day stay, and that didn't affect the visit. The chalet with a whirlpool was comfortable, the bed was great, and it was clean. The inn is good value and well placed in the Minas Gerais side of Maringá's food district, close to the fancier restaurants. I loved the landscaping and all the flowers, and there is a pool and a river right behind the inn, so you can hear the lovely sound of the water. Breakfast was just okay, with a range of items but nothing that stood out to me. There's parking on site, and reception was very helpful.

The location is a real plus. You can walk to the center of Maringá, and a river runs behind the inn, making for a peaceful night's sleep. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, especially delicious juices and jams. A great place for couples.
