The setting is gorgeous, with views that really take your breath away, and the outdoor areas are lovely and well kept. Breakfast had plenty of choice and everything we tried tasted great. Rodrigo was especially helpful and friendly, ready to lend a hand with whatever we needed. Getting there takes some care: the climb is steep, with dirt and gravel, so a regular car that isn't 4x4 needs to take it slowly. Once you've made the drive once, it gets easier, and the inn is worth the trip. We'd happily stay again.

We felt at home from the moment we arrived, thanks to such a warm welcome. Our Mantiqueira chalet was clean and comfortable, with an outstanding view. We had an incredible stay and will definitely come back and tell our friends about it.

The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was good. The chalets themselves are wonderful, with a beautiful view. Getting to the inn is the one downside: the road is bumpy and unpaved, and a low-powered car with little clearance could have trouble making it.

The drive from the village of Mauá to the inn took about 15 minutes, going very slowly, and the road was in really bad shape. Once there, our room didn't seem well maintained: the bathroom window was broken and wouldn't close, the bedding was poor, and the towels and bathrobes looked extremely old and worn. The photos in the listing seem to show the more expensive rooms. The simpler ones only have a fireplace and a bathtub. Given the price and the distance, I won't be back. With the reviews scoring it so highly, I wonder if good ratings are being bought.
