The bars across the street blast loud music, so I slept badly. If you're a light sleeper, don't book here.

My room was large and had recently been refurbished, though the building itself looks a little old. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Restaurants and pubs are close by, and Pepê Beach is a 10 minute walk away. Just be aware that a room at the front of the hotel may get a lot of noise from the pubs.

The AC works like a champ, which mattered on a 90 degree day as a large American. I was here on a business trip and found the hotel clean and neat, with good service and a reasonable rate. It's three blocks from the beach and several 1000 dollars cheaper than tourist traps like Sheraton and Ramada. I enjoyed the stay and will come back next time I'm here.

The staff were friendly, but the accommodations needed maintenance. The air conditioning was old and had no temperature control, the lighting wasn't enough for the room, and the single elevator worked poorly. Breakfast was poor too. For the price, I expected a bit more.
