We stayed at your hostel for three nights, and most of the time there was no water. Whenever someone at reception was asked about it, the answer was that it would be back in three hours. It seemed not to bother them at all, even when that meant waiting until 2 a.m. For three days, guests couldn’t shower, brush their teeth, or flush the toilet. The water fountain in the hallway was always empty too. There were better ways to handle this. You could have given each guest a bottle of water for brushing their teeth and for flushing after using the toilet, or left bottles beside the toilets so people could flush. We hope the next guests have a better stay.

I booked three months ahead for Carnaval, but they canceled my weeklong reservation on the day of arrival. I had to find somewhere to stay the day before Carnaval started and pay over $200 more than I’d budgeted. They didn’t offer a solution or seem to care. It was impossible to reach them, and the whole thing was super disorganized. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more to stay somewhere else.

The staff were nice, and the place was easy to find. The hostel itself felt poorly maintained, though. The rooms are tiny, there’s nowhere to store luggage or hang out together, and technically you can’t cook in the kitchen.

They canceled my booking on the very day I was supposed to stay, even though I’d made it in advance. Do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else.
