Carnival 2020 was a blast, and I met so many great people. The staff were great too. Not everyone spoke English, but Google Translate sorted that out. Best hostel experience I've had by far. I'll definitely come back one day.

The rooms were clean, and the women's room had its own bathroom. The owner was friendly and helpful. There's a bit of a walk uphill to get there, but the rooftop terrace is nice for breakfast, and you can use the kitchen up there too.

There's a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy on the 3rd level, plus a rooftop terrace at the top with views over Copacabana. Walking up to the location gives you a real favela experience, and the views are amazing. The building is new, the rooms are all clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. This is undoubtedly the best hostel in Copacabana, especially during Carnival season, New Years, and Rock in Rio.

You can train in pure Jiu-Jitsu with professor Ari Galo, graduated by the legendary master Carlson Gracie, then take in the wonderful view of Copacabana's beach and the Christ. The atmosphere feels like family, the facilities are very good, and it's in one of the best neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro.

The price is great, and the staff treat you like family. The owner Ray is so kind and helpful. Probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in, highly recommended.
