The stretch of Praia de Itapua is awful, like a huge favela, and seems unfit for people to visit. It's basically an open sewer, and the beach sand smells strongly of urine everywhere. The kitchenette where I'm staying has no pans or microwave, and the landlord didn't give me a receipt, so how can I prove that I paid? I was charged R$50,00 per period. Until recently there was no water for a shower, the sink, or the toilet flush. Don't come to Itapua, and share this with more people.
