The hotel was in a great location, but the cockroach problem made the stay really hard. We were there for four nights. By night two, we'd seen small roaches in the bathroom and then a large one. Staff said this was common in the heat and gave us bug spray, but it didn't work. Large roaches kept appearing over the following nights, and I barely slept because I was so on edge. I've traveled for years and never had this happen before. Being in the old town may explain the problem, but the hotel did nothing to address it inside the building.

Breakfast was delicious and brought to the room. This is a well-kept boutique hotel in the heart of Salvador's historical centre. My room was clean, with simple but beautiful decor. The exposed brick and comfortable wooden furniture made it feel cosy. Highly recommended.

In Pelourinho, Salvador, this quaint place feels like a hidden gem tucked into the community. The rooms are spacious and clean, and I felt looked after every day. Ismael, Pablo, and Elle made everything easy. Breakfast was delivered to our door with a smile, neatly arranged on the tray and satisfying. I settled into the neighborhood quickly and could find my way to a few popular places, a corner store, and the city's centro. Be sure to take advantage of the city tours. The city sleeps during the day and comes alive at night. Thank you, Pelourinho Boyutique Hotel, Salvador, for making my first experience memorable and enjoyable. I'll definitely come again. Obrigada! The service was terrible, and the room smelled bad. It was also noisy, with mosquitoes in the room. Calling this hotel “boutique” is a total joke.
