The location is a real plus, with the beach and boardwalk just a short walk away and shops and restaurants nearby. The reception staff were friendly, though their English was limited, which is common in many parts of Brazil. The building has a charming blue exterior, but the rooms and building itself feel dated and could use an update. Our air conditioner was noisy, although there was a ceiling fan too. We were on the top floor, and there was no elevator, which might be inconvenient for some. The doorbell was strangely high up and could be hard for a shorter person to reach. We also came across a couple of cockroaches during our stay.

The room was huge and very clean, and the staff were incredible. It's only about 50 meters from the beach. The neighborhood felt nice and safe, though it's more of a hipster area, without especially fancy buildings.
