Samba Villa da Praia

The balcony and its sea view are great, and I liked the hotel, pool, and view. The rooms seem small for the price. Food at the restaurant was average, and breakfast was bad, with too much cake and bread. Reception staff were nice, but the restaurant staff were inattentive. The tiny coffee at reception cost 7 reais!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable, and I’d stayed here a couple of times before. But my most recent visit was terrible. The front desk staff were rude and provided poor service. When I called to ask for an extra towel, they refused, and a woman hung up on me. They also charge for every little thing, including pool towels and coffee at reception.

I would give this place zero stars. Insects kept appearing in my bed. I reported it to the staff, but all he did was give me clean sheets, and we ended up sleeping on the floor. I later texted the manager, who had already agreed to make a financial offer, but then refused. I haven't received any money and probably won't. That was the worst night I've ever had, and I'll never go back. What a shame.

It's peaceful and tucked away, with the beach only a few steps away and few panhandlers disturbing the quiet. The place is clean, the rooms are tidy, and the service staff were awesome. If you like partying, the action is only a few miles away. Salvador, Bahia international airport is just a 7-minute drive.
