It's close to the beach and a nice place, though breakfast isn't included.

Dona Jo, the owner, is lovely and very helpful, but her kindness doesn't make up for how limited the facilities are. There was only one toilet and shower for more than 10 people, no breakfast or bar, and the rooms don't lock, which makes leaving luggage unsecured pretty worrying. It feels more like a guesthouse than a hostel, with the bed, internet, and running water about all you pay for. They only take cash, no cards. Our reservation couldn't be found when we arrived, so check-in took over an hour. I also had an early morning flight, and no one answered the door until I woke the sleeping manager by banging on it.

I had a really pleasant stay with Dona Jô. She's a lovely, friendly, welcoming older lady, a retired lawyer who spends her time making guests feel good. Definitely a great stay.

Our reservation wasn't on the list when we arrived, and we waited for hours before we could get in. Several other people ran into problems too. When we left, we went an hour early so some people who'd arrived could take our spot, since there were no beds left. The whole place was very disorganized.

I loved it. The welcome was great, and the place was clean and well located.
