Grand Center Hotel

Great.

The view is lovely, and the place is near shops and the waterfront. Service was fine, too. The rooms are spacious, but they need renovation: the bathroom floor was broken and looked dirty, the bedroom walls were peeling, and the air conditioning barely cooled the room, perhaps because it was so large. Breakfast has few choices, and since the dining area is small, there’s just one table to share with other guests. There are stairs to reach the rooms.

Breakfast was simple but okay. The bathroom looked dirty. I wouldn’t recommend staying here with a lot of luggage, since you have to climb stairs to get to reception and then climb more to reach the rooms.

The staff were good, the room was comfortable, breakfast was good, and the price matched the stay. But when I checked in at 1 p.m., I was told there were no towels. They still hadn’t arrived by the time I wrote this, so we bought towels just to shower. After traveling, you want to wash up and relax. They only said the laundry hadn’t delivered them. Honestly, that’s poor management. How could they not plan for something like this?
