Pousada e Restaurante Sumaúma

Good afternoon, just stopping by to say how grateful we are to everyone at Pousada Samaúma for the wonderful service. A lovely welcome was waiting for us as soon as we arrived, and the place is so cozy and pleasant. You can tell they put love into everything, with care in every little detail. We made the best choice for celebrating our 9 years of marriage. Thank you all for everything you prepared for us. A million-dollar inn, comfortable, pleasant, clean, just wonderful.

We wanted a quiet weekend to rest, and that’s exactly what we got. The chalet is lovely, comfortable, and clean, the inn feels welcoming, and there are only a few rooms. Eliane was attentive and polite from the first WhatsApp contact, and when we arrived she greeted us with the biggest smile. We’d booked the regular chalet rate after first considering the romantic package, but she’d decorated the room anyway, with music, candles, soft lighting, and the hot tub already on. We were touched and loved every detail. On the first day we had an afternoon coffee and tapioca by the pool, then ordered moqueca de pirarucu in the chalet. Eliane made it fresh with fresh ingredients, and it was delicious. The next morning, breakfast on the chalet veranda came with such an incredible variety and so much care that we even had to ask her to stop bringing more, haha. After the beach, we enjoyed the pool at the end of the day. We loved our stay.

Eliane, the owner, had arranged our room before we arrived, and it was such a thoughtful touch. We were warmly welcomed and well looked after at Pousada Sumauma. The room was good and clean, with a really comfortable bed, and the pool was pretty and pleasant. Breakfast was a surprise too, served just for us every morning on the room’s veranda. The inn is brand new, though there’s still some work going on at times. Eliane has set the place up for romantic stays and dinners, which we hadn’t realized when we booked, and she puts a lot of care into it. She works incredibly hard and is eager to make guests feel welcome. We recommend it. Getting to the town center and beaches is the one tricky part: it’s a 40 minute walk, or you can take a bus that comes once an hour, get a taxi, or use transport from the inn, though that isn’t always available.

We chose Pousada Sumaúma for our 11th anniversary, and it turned out to be a great pick. The place is clean, well organized, and smells lovely. Meals were delicious, and breakfast had plenty of choices, all warm, with fresh fruit. The owner was kind and welcoming, and being surrounded by nature added a special charm. We’ll definitely come back with our kids.
